David Stenton
Retired. Graduated from University of Oxford in 2005 with BA (Hons) in Classical Languages and Literature.
A newbie novelist currently in the final review and edit stages of my first novel, "Walk My Journey". I'd class it as fantasy, but (as with other ideas I'm working on) I prefer to focus on personalities, avoiding (mostly) monsters, gods, super powers, and magic.
Away from fiction, my main interest is traditional songs. I'm compiling a collection of such songs that were popular in the Falkirk/Stirling/Dunblane area between 1780 and 1840. Its working title is "The Forth Valley Songster", and I gave a talk on that at a Broadside Day conference, held at Strathclyde Uni in February 2019. That paper has now been published along with other papers from the conference.
