Rose also creates film poems and she performed her poem 'Breathe' at the Edinburgh International Book Festival along with the choir the Cheyne Gang for the student run Proteus project. She is a volunteer with ICUsteps Edinburgh. It is for patient survivors of critical care. She is a thriver now after recovering in 2013 from sepsis and she believes passionately that the arts in many forms are brilliant for your mental and physical well being.
