Lesley Traynor

Lesley Traynor lives in Glasgow and is the author of two novels. She was shortlisted for the Beyond Borders Political Literary Festival short story award 2019. Her poetry has been published extensively nationaly and internationaly, most recently by Vagabond Voices, 404Ink , Stryvling Press and the New York magazine, Anti Heroin Chic.
She is founder of Woman with Fierce Words , a collective of contemporary Scottish writers and published their highly successful anthology.
She collaborates with writers and musicians to produce Poetry Films. Her films have been screened at Celtic Connections. Wigtown Book Festival and as part of WW1 commemoration in St Giles.
As a performance poet she has been in two Scottish Slam Finals.
A committee member of the Federation of
Writers (Scotland), she supports emerging writers and is a Director at the Scottish Writers' Centre and supporter of Scottish Pen.
