Born in Edinburgh - travelled with parents to Hong Kong, Yemen and Germany - Left home at 15 to join HM Forces ( where I led a well traveled, enjoyable & challenging life for 28+ years ) since 1994 I've been an adopted son of Glasgow working as a Manager and Trainer UK wide until 5 years ago when I became an Assistant Registrar for Glasgow City Council ( I conduct civil weddings, civil partnerships and same sex marriages ) a job, I genuinely "love"
I enjoy writing and I'm endeavouring to move from "procrastination to publication" My varied life has taught me "it's better to share success, than to celebrate success alone" so with the support of the very helpful Gorbals Library I've recently set up the Gorbals Writing Group and we meet on the first & second Saturdays of the month from 10:30 to 11:30.
We have recently received funding via Foundation Scotland and have been helped by Voluntary Arts Scotland. We receive assistance from Glasgow Live via the Gorbals Library and look forward to the Voluntary Arts Festival in March 2018
We are in the process of trying to set up a Junior Writing Group and have received support regarding PVG from Volunteer Scotland.
I'd genuinely welcome suggestions or ideas from the membership of Weegie Wednesday ( or anyone else in the industries ) in regards to all the aspects of photography, creative writing, illustrating & publishing etc.
