Donny O’Rourke has had overlapping careers as a poet, journalist, film maker, television producer, media executive, broadcaster, academic and adult educator.The author or editor of more than a score of books and cds, Donny has been active as a peformer, editor, translator and publisher for nearly four decades. His teaching, songs, standup and storytelling have brought him professorships, residencies and awards in many countries. The Hermann Kesten Stipendium took him as Glasgow's representative to its twin city. A graduate of Glasgow and Cambridge Universities, he holds a lifetime Fellowship in the School of Education at Glasgow University.
