Catriona Cox, of the Society of Young Publishers Scotland, and her co-chair of the, Kirstin Lamb will be speaking to about the work of the Society. A few of their colleagues will be come along too to network with our members.

Kirstin completed the MSc Publishing at Edinburgh Napier University and is currently Publishing and Rights Manager at Barrington Stoke in Edinburgh. She has been a general member on the committee of SYP for the past year and will take on the post of co-chair for the coming year.

Catriona moved to Scotland to do the MLitt Publishing Studies at the University of Stirling. On completion she worked for three years at Publishing Scotland before returning to study for her PhD looking at the recent history of publishing in Scotland in October 2015. She joins Kirstin as co-chair of the SYP.

Catriona and Kirstin were both also on the committee that organised the highly successful SYP Scotland Conference that was held in March. They will do a short talk about the activities and aims of SYP Scotland and will be happy to chat during the networking part of the evening where they will be joined by a few others from the committee.
